UNIT NINETEEN
Assignments for this unit:
* View the embedded YouTube video below to see the vocabulary for this unit. There are some Arkansas/Southern US regional differences on a few, but the signs used by Dr. Bill are 'mainstream' signs recognized in the south as well. I have signed multiple variations on several of the vocabulary words. (Also, this video is not captioned, but words are fingerspelled. Now that we have advanced toward the end of ASL II, the speed of the spelling is more like what you would see in a conversation, though still a bit slower. Hopefully that doesn't scare you! Honestly, when conversing with a Deaf person, they will go slower if they know you are learning! No worries!)
* When you have completed the assignments above and feel pretty good about what you have learned, you can click on the embedded YouTube video below (31:31) . It is a discussion between Dr. Bill and one of his students. It is very clear. Even if you don't understand something he is saying, focus on the text on the screen behind him, and it will make sense.
* Review the CL:A video at the bottom of the page. We will continue having a review of the different classifiers each unit, and although there won't be a direct test/quiz over them, they will appear in future videos/quiz sentences, so it's a good idea to study them.
